SUMMARY

I am Beau Gavin, a 25 yr old Non-binary Lesbian and artist/creator, and I’m pursuing work in costume construction and/or illustration/design. I’m a San Diego State University Alumni, Class of 2020, who graduated with a degree in Theater Design and Technology and a minor in Studio Art.  I enjoy volunteering my time with smaller theatre companies, offering my skills in costume construction and design, and, in my spare time at home, I build costumes/props and draw on commission or for myself.  I’m incredibly passionate about what I do and I'm looking for positions where I can gain more professional guidance while continuing to confidently do what I love.

I’ve graduated from SDSU with a major in Design & Technology in Theater in Film with an emphasis in costume construction, as well as a minor in studio arts.  I’ve worked on several productions for the SDSU theater department, including building costumes and puppets, building set pieces, hanging lights, running as a part of a dress crew, and working as a fly operator.  I’ve also taken multiple courses in leadership, so I know not only how to work well with people from different backgrounds, but how to lead a team if I need to.
